  • Dark Moon Reflection

Looking back at my New Moon wishes from 4 weeks ago, I’m seeing that focusing on myself was the right thing to do. I put my happiness first, and it definitely helped me focus on what mattered most. Some of the stressors I’ve experienced in the past took their rightful place in the back.

    What worked this cycle?

Putting myself first. I don’t do that enough, and I definitely slip out of it over time.

    What would I do differently?

I would like to lean into this more. Filling my own cup first has been very restorative, and helped me put things into perspective.

What is my soul asking for right now?

My soul is asking for rest. My soul is asking for less drama. My soul is asking for real connection.

Got bored. Made a meme. Enjoy. 😊

Four corners (north=earth, east=air, south=fire, west=water), blue candle (emotional healing, harmony, peace of mind, truth). Just a little something during the harvest moon.

  • Removing yourself from anything that repeatedly triggers your mental health and hurts your heart is top-tier self respect.

Middle of my 3rd month of CrossFit and I haven’t lost weight, and I can’t really see any change yet. I’m able to increase weight (dumbbells, etc), and I’m not quite as sore as I used to be on the daily, so there’s some pluses.

Trying not to be discouraged, I know this takes time, but c’mon man….

    Quantum Leap

I’m way late watching Quantum Leap, but seeing a nonbinary actor portraying a nonbinary character has been so joyful to see. Last night I made it to S01E12, “Let Them Play.” This episode surrounds a trans basketball player and her struggle with acceptance. It was beautiful. It was a little “teen angst” at times but the message was amazing. There was a scene where Ben (Sam Beckett 2.0) took his daughter to group, and he attended the parents group while his daughter attended the teen group.

    It broke me.

Hearing those parents talk about how they just wanted their kids to be able to grow up and be kids had me sobbing. It’s all any parent wants.

I want to take a moment to send a little love to anyone who is trans. I see you. I hear you. Never forget that you are a beautiful expression of the universe learning and discovering itself. I hope you become the most authentic version of yourself you can and that you are always surrounded by people who love you.
